It appears that quite a few people find my blog because they are searching for polymer clay color mixing recipes and ideas. Because it seems so many people are interested in color, I thought I'd post periodically about some of the color resources that are out there on the web. The chart above will give you a starting point for creating lots of wonderful colors with Kato Polyclay. It is available at the
Shades of Clay website. The original large version can be found
here. This handy chart can be printed and kept right at your clay table. Shades of Clay is
a Canadian resource for mixed media and polymer artists. They stock an eclectic range of art and craft supplies and ship world wide. There is a list of color recipes at Shades of Clay as well as this great chart. The list of recipes can be found here. I hope you find these to be of use in your polymer clay adventures! If you have a resource for color mixing ideas, please feel free to let me know. Also, you can click on the word COLOR on the navigation bar at the top of my blog to see past posts about color.
Elements:
It's a great resource, I use it all the time. I can generally get close to the colour I want and then tweak it a little if necessary.
